The first Southern Darling Downs Community Consultative Committee was established in December 2017 with 15 members, plus the Independent Chair, who provided input and feedback into the Border to Gowrie project.
The two-year tenure of the Southern Darling Downs CCC concluded in late 2019. The renewed Committee was appointed in March 2020 for up to two years, or until the Border to Gowrie project has gained statutory approval. Updated membership details can be found below.

Independent review of preliminary Condamine floodplain crossing
In October 2018, the Southern Darling Downs Community Consultative Committee appointed independent advisor, Dr John Macintosh from Water Solutions Pty Ltd to carry out an independent review of the Condamine floodplain crossing.
At the Committee meeting on 21 March 2019, Dr John Macintosh presented the Interim Report on Flood Impacts. This report provides a summary of the review of potential impacts of the preliminary Condamine floodplain crossing on flooding and a draft strategy for communicating technical information about expected flood related impacts to the community.
