2MAX FM gets a facelift
The 2MaxFM station in Narrabri recently received a big facelift thanks to funding through Inland Rail’s Sponsorships and Donations program. The grant was awarded to the station to upgrade the façade of the building and give it the bright new look.

The façade now features artworks designed by local Narrabri High School students. The designs were submitted by students and then voted on by the community via the Max FM Facebook page.
The chosen designs feature iconic tourist destinations in the Narrabri Shire such as Sawn Rocks and Mount Kaputar and even an Inland Rail train. The students’ murals were professionally reproduced by local signwriter Turner Signs to result in the bright and eye-catching display you can see today.
It is hoped that this project will encourage more Narrabri youth into the community radio station and create a greater sense of local community ownership for the building.
