Buckie Road, Croppa Creek level crossing upgrade
Trans4m Rail will deliver level crossing and drainage upgrade works on Buckie Road, in Croppa Creek town centre, from November to December 2021.
Work being done
Works will include installing new drainage structures and upgrades to level crossing 918.
To facilitate the works, a temporary gravel access road will be constructed to divert traffic, including road trains, around the existing level crossing.
To allow for drainage works on both sides of Buckie Road, a traffic lane switch will occur midway throughout the works to provide a safe work zone during construction.
What is a traffic switch?
Diverting traffic onto a different section of road is called a traffic switch. Switching traffic helps minimise any traffic congestion caused by construction works.
Motorists are urged to follow changing traffic conditions on site, including speed zone reductions and directional traffic signage.

How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic controls will be in place, where required, including Variable Message Signage (VMS) boards
- Water carts will be on site to wet down areas to assist in managing dust.
