Inland
Rail is a once-in-a-generation project that will complete the backbone of
Australia’s freight rail network. It will enhance supply chains by providing a
transit time of 24 hours or less for freight trains between Melbourne and
Brisbane. Inland Rail
will connect regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland to markets more
efficiently, drive substantial cost savings for producers and consumers, and
deliver significant economic benefits. Inland
Rail is the largest freight rail infrastructure project in Australia and one of
the most significant infrastructure projects in the world. About the opportunity As the Principal
Environmental Advisor for Northern New South Wales, you will have specific requirements to
develop and prepare the strategic framework, key strategies, policies and
procedures applicable to state and program studies and the provision of expert
technical advice for the NSW component of the Inland Rail Program.
You will be
instrumental is developing and implementing efficient environmental approvals
and compliance in construction in collaboration with the HSE Manager. Additionally, you will provide leadership and
guidance to the project team and support engagement with environmental
regulators.
