About Inland Rail

The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges. About the opportunity

As the Project Controls Analyst your primary responsibility will be the gathering, analysis, and management of data to predict and understand cost forecasting and reporting.

Based in our Sydney CBD office this role will report directly to the Project Controls Manager and be responsible for:

  • Monitor, collect, consolidate, analyse and report on project productivity, scope, cost and change
  • Provide project teams and Inland Rail management project status updates, including early warnings, risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Support preparation of contract requirements to control, monitor, report and manage, project objectives, costs and risks.
  • Develop and manage Earned Value systems and controls.
  • Ensure forecasting project scope and costs are aligned to project baselines, with changes identified
  • Clearly articulate Project status and variances against baselines in both quantitative and qualitative terms in various reporting formats.

About you

To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and:

  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Project Controls Experience with a delivery background
  • Knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, ITC Contracts and Construction work processes
  • Previous experience with Prism, P6, ARM (or similar)
  • Proficient in Power Bi
