About the opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team as Project Engineer – Interfaces. This role requires exceptional, effective communication skills as this function requires communicating with a multitude of stakeholders across the program. The Project Engineer – Interfaces, will support the delivery of multiple-site packages across the Albury to Parkes alignment in the delivery of third party and operational scope. The role will also support the key delivery stakeholders for the Albury to Parkes Enhancements Program in line with the projects’ delivery schedule targets and planning requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support for the interface with the key delivery stakeholders and third party works.
  • Monitor and assist the Independent Verifier in their obligations and determinations as they relate to the TfNSW and council returnable works.
  • Work with various consultants and contractors involved in the project and the overall Inland Rail Programme as it relates to the above activities.
  • Coordinate with Inland Rail legal and stakeholder teams regularly to ensure consistent and coordinate approaches to agreements, consultation and reporting.
  • Ensure all allocated project work is coordinated with key stakeholders externally and within ARTC’s network and customers internally where appropriate so as not to adversely affect its operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all Inland Rail policies, procedures, systems, and processes as set out in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Demonstrate a proactive commitment to safety by applying safety management principles, promoting safe practices, and taking personal responsibility for maintaining a safe work environment through reporting incidents.

About you

  • Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications.
  • Knowledge of a railway environment with experience and knowledge of track possession windows and track occupancy planning.
  • Ability to work in an organised well-ordered manner.
  • Problem resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Drivers Licence – Class C
