Broadford service investigation works
Throughout January 2023, specialist contractors will conduct non-destructive water bore drilling works to locate and map underground services in Broadford.
Work being done
Specialist contractors will conduct non-destructive water bore drilling works to locate and map underground services in Broadford.
A mobile drill will be set up in Short Street, Rupert Street, Catherine Court, Last Street, Jamieson Street and Sutherland Street, Broadford.
During works, there will be temporary restricted access to some properties. However, work crews will ensure local residents and businesses can access their driveways upon request.
Residents and motorists are asked to take care and observe all traffic management instructions and signage.
What can I expect
- Traffic management in and around where works are occurring
- Reduced speed limits of 40km near works
- Mobile machinery and equipment operating onsite
- Bore drilling to take place for about two hours at each site
- Nearby residents can expect some noise during daylight hours.
- The drilling process will create small holes in the ground which will be filled in at the completion of the works.

- traffic management equipment and
- signage.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe access for all road users
- Reduced road speeds in the vicinity of the works
- Mobile drilling equipment will ensure property access can be maintained upon request.
