Short Street, Broadford site investigations and geotechnical investigation
From late February to March 2023, specialist contractors will conduct geotechnical investigations around Short Street bridge, Broadford to better understand ground conditions and inform the design of the new bridge.
What is happening
A mobile drill rig will be set up near the Short Street bridge, Broadford. It will drill small holes in the ground (about 10cm diameter) which will be filled when work is finished.
During this period, Short Street bridge will be temporarily reduced to one lane, however access will be maintained.
Some properties will also have restricted driveway access but work crews will ensure access is maintained upon request.
