Wangaratta Station Precinct site preparation and utility works
From April to May 2023, our contractor McConnell Dowell will undertake works surrounding the Wangaratta Station Precinct on Green Street, Cusack Street and Spearing Street.
Work being done
McConnell Dowell will undertake site compound preparation works and utility investigations in and around the Wangaratta Station precinct in April and May 2023.
Works will also involve delivery and storage of materials and equipment and ground preparations at 10 Green Street, Wangaratta.
Utility investigation works will take place around the station precinct including Cusack and Spearing streets.
What can I expect
- Site compound establishment in and around Wangaratta Station precinct
- Delivery and storage of materials and equipment in Green Street
- Minor approved vegetation removal in the project area
- Traffic management and speed restrictions during utility investigations as required
- Trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the work site from Green Street, which may cause minor delays
- Nearby residents can expect some noise during daylight hours.
Machinery used
Heavy vehicles including:
- loaders,
- excavators,
- rollers.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe access for all road users where required
- Implementation of environmental controls
- Water carts will be used onsite to wet down areas to assist in managing dust.
