Buckie Road, Croppa Creek temporary traffic changes
From 19 January 2022, our contractor Trans4m Rail will continue Croppa Creek bridge replacement works including the delivery of pre-cast items to the Croppa Creek bridge.
Work being done
To enable the delivery of bridge Super T beams at Croppa Creek rail bridge, traffic restrictions will be in place for the duration of deliveries via Buckie Road, Croppa Creek (travelling eastbound). Furthermore, upgrade works will continue on Buckie Road level crossing (LX918) which will be incorporated into onsite traffic management.
These activities may result in minor travel delays and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused. For public safety, road users should observe all traffic control instructions, signage and VMS boards during this period.
Works will occur between 7am and 6pm Monday to Sunday. Super T beam deliveries will occur intermittently on 19 January, 22 January and 24 January 2022, and will be transported via heavy vehicles.
What are Super-T beams?
Super T beams are pre-cast girder sections required for bridge construction. They are used in conjunction with the deck slab to stabilise the bridge. The beams to be delivered for the Croppa Creek bridge are 23m in length.
