Ten Mile Creek rail bridge demolition and replacement

From 1 April 2022, our contractor Trans4m Rail will demolish and replace the Ten Mile Creek rail bridge, south of Bellata.

Work being done

Works will involve constructing a temporary access road from the Newell Highway to the bridge.

Demolition will include removing the existing bridge structure and concrete components. A new bridge will be installed following demolition.

A temporary access road, south west of Ten Mile Creek bridge, will be used to access the site during these works. Traffic management controls will be in place for traffic accessing the Newell Highway.

  • Construction machinery and equipment operating on site
  • Delivery of materials and equipment
  • Motorists should follow traffic controls and drive with caution
  • Some of these works will be noisy and mitigation measures will be in place to reduce impacts.

  • loaders,
  • rollers and
  • water/vacuum excavation trucks

will be used within the construction impact zone.

How we’re managing impacts

  • Traffic control will be in place, where required
  • Water carts will be on site to wet down areas to assist in managing dust.
