About the opportunity

Location: Albury, NSW
Employment Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Roster: 10 days on / 4 days off FIFO from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. Monday to Friday with occasional weekend works may be considered for the right candidate.

We are seeking a Project Manager with Rail / Track experience to join the A2I team and play a key role in delivering critical brownfield rail infrastructure works within an operational rail corridor.

 This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned project professional with strong rail, civil or major infrastructure experience who enjoys managing complex stakeholder interfaces, contractor performance and project delivery outcomes in a challenging brownfield environment.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the A2I project, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with contractors, design teams, technical specialists and operational stakeholders to manage project interfaces and achieve key milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of complex brownfield rail infrastructure works.
• Oversee works planning and readiness to support efficient and coordinated construction delivery.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and project performance.
• Hold contractors accountable for safety, compliance and delivery outcomes.
• Coordinate engineering, construction and operational rail interfaces.
• Manage project approvals, utilities and third-party requirements.
• Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, variations and delivery constraints.
• Develop collaborative relationships with contractors, stakeholders and delivery partners.
• Ensure all works comply with Inland Rail standards, governance and project requirements.

About you

You thrive in fast-paced project settings, enjoy leading multidisciplinary teams and contractors, and can confidently balance safety, program, cost, risk and stakeholder outcomes.

What You'll Bring:

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive project management experience within rail, transport or major infrastructure environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects within operational or brownfield environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and contractor management capability.
• Experience managing project risks, budgets, schedules and delivery outcomes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  Current Class C Driver's Licence.
• Understanding of ARTC standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of TfNSW bridge standards and rail infrastructure requirements.
