Young STEM stars shine in Benalla, Broadford and Euroa

Another 85 local students have rolled up their sleeves for STEMPunks, a hands-on education program run in partnership with Inland Rail.

Students from FCJ College Benalla, Broadford Secondary College and St John’s Primary in Euroa programmed autonomous robotic vehicles and explored how AI and automation are shaping the future of freight.

Built around real Inland Rail problem-solving scenarios, the program connects schools with industry to inspire career pathways in science, technology, engineering and maths. Inland Rail staff along with our construction partner John Holland, joined the sessions to share real-world insights.

To date, 15 schools and more than 700 students along the Beveridge to Albury project area have taken part.
