About the design packages
This EOI opportunity comprises three design services packages covering sections of Inland Rail located between Narromine in Western NSW and Gowrie in Southern Queensland.
Design package 1 – NSW/Qld Border to Gowrie, Qld
Progress an integrated rail and civil design to incorporate updates from revised technical requirements, revised draft EIS assessments, management plans, commitments and mitigation strategies.
Design package 2 – Moree to Camurra, Northern NSW
- Progress an integrated track, civil and rail systems preliminary design
- Develop and consult the operational concept for Moree
- Develop and consult on an interim Flood Design Verification Report.
Design package 3 – Narromine to Baradine, Western NSW
- Progress an integrated track, civil and rail systems preliminary design
- Prepare a modification to the NSW Primary Approval
- Develop and consult on an interim Flood Design Verification Report.
Upcoming design package milestones
Following the EOI phase, the selection process for the Design Services may comprise of a subsequent Request for Tender(s) (RFT) phase.
IRPL intends to shortlist Proponents following EOI submissions. Shortlisted Proponents will be issued documents for the RFT phase.
At the end of the RFT phase, IRPL may award contracts to successful Proponents.
