Beaconsfield Parade bridge works, Glenrowan: July 2024
Inland Rail will continue works in Glenrowan during July.
Work being done
- Installing anti-thrown screens and handrails on the bridge
- Installing bridge lighting
- Landscaping and constructing pathways.
Traffic changes
In July, the new section of Woolshed Road including new bus stop and car park will open to traffic, along with access from the Siege Street service road to Beaconsfield Parade.
What can I expect
- Construction work 7am-6pm Monday to Friday and 7am-5pm weekends
- Traffic and pedestrian access via the new Beaconsfield Parade bridge
- Heavy machinery and equipment operating onsite
- Delivery of materials and equipment
- Trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the construction site may cause minor traffic delays
- Temporary streetlighting in place to assist pedestrians crossing the new bridge.
Machinery used
Trucks, cranes, excavators, concrete trucks and pumps, loaders and light vehicles will be used within the works area.
How we’re managing impacts
- Water carts will be onsite to wet down areas to assist in managing dust
- Traffic controls will be in place, where required, including Variable Message Signage (VMS) boards
- Live monitoring of noise, dust, and vibration.
