About Inland Rail
The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges. About the opportunity
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE Lead and
manage the design program for the Inland Rail, specifically the Illabo to
Stockinbingal greenfield line. Ensure that design teams develop coordinated,
buildable and safe designs within the scheduled timeframes, cost constraints,
budget approvals and compliance requirements. Reporting
to the Engineering Manager, you will be assisting the Engineering team in the
delivery of the Inland Rail Programme I2S portion, and your primary
responsibilities will include:
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Design
Manager on the I2S project, you will be responsible for the delivery of civil
and earthworks associated with the new rail formation within scheduled
timeframes, delivered safely and within budget and quality parameters. You will
be required to work closely with the structures and rail delivery teams.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a high-level
ability to lead and direct project design consultants to ensure designs are
prioritised and delivered on time, to appropriate safety, quality and cost
standards.
