The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges. About the opportunity
The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist will be accountable for delivering a portfolio of organisation learning and development initiatives across the employment lifecycle. This role, reporting to the Organisation Effectiveness Lead, will be our L&D SME and play play a pivotal role in delivering Inland Rail’s Learning and Development strategy. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Given the linear nature of the Inland Rail project there will be some ad-hoc travel to Sydney as required.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with your leader, our Organisation Development Specialist, and our business SMEs to design, develop, and implement impactful learning programs. This includes analysing and enhancing the current Learning Management System (LMS) catalogue and curriculum, then executing a prioritised review and implementation plan which aligns with our Organisational Strategy.
Key to this role is using your experience and expertise to ensure learning solutions are well-planned, delivered, and evaluated to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet our specific business context. You will be a strong project manager with strong organisational ability to deliver on key timelines.
About you
As a highly skilled Learning and Development professional, you should have extensive experience in instructional design, facilitation, and administering Learning Management Systems (ideally Cornerstone). Possessing a strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, you can effectively manage competing demands. With a creative and solution-oriented mindset you are able to design programs aligned with strategic business objectives, through collaboration both within the People & Culture team and more broadly with Program Leaders.
