Trains resume services at Euroa and Benalla stations
Inland Rail has ticked off another major milestone on the Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 project, completing works at Benalla and Euroa stations that will allow passengers to board trains at both stations from Monday 31 August.

Trains have not stopped at the stations in recent months as Inland Rail and construction partner, John Holland, transform the stations with new tracks and platforms, improved pedestrian and vehicle access, additional car parking, and community spaces.
As passenger train services resume at Benalla, the existing V/Line station building will temporarily close and passenger services will be offered from interim facilities on the opposite side of the tracks, off Railway Place.
The interim facilities will include a V/Line ticketing office, toilets, carpark and a coach pickup and drop off zone.
Trains will stop at the new west platform on the Railway Place side of the station, which will be served by the new underpass, ramps and stairs. The full Benalla Station precinct is on track to be completed in the new year.
At Euroa, trains will stop again at the upgraded platform in front of the old station building and the adjacent new station carpark off Railway Street will be opened to the public.
The carpark will include 50 spaces, two accessible car parks and four spots for a quick and safe drop off or pick up. The coach stop will remain at McGuinness Street until the end of the year.
Station works and the Anderson Street underpass are progressing well, with the full Euroa station precinct opening in the new year.

“We understand the frustration rail passengers have experienced without train services stopping at Euroa and Benalla stations but that’s about to change, with services set to resume from Monday 31 August.
“Our crews have worked to open-up one side of each of the stations for passengers, even as other work continues.
“We thank the community for their patience and cooperation as we deliver the generational upgrades to the station.”
