Utility investigations in Wagga Wagga, 19-24 February 2025

Martinus will undertake utility investigation on the road reserves in Wagga Wagga from 19 February to 24 February 2025, weather and ground conditions permitting. The works were due to be completed by 19 February, but unforeseen circumstances mean the timing has had to be extended.

  • Utilities investigations involving potholing and use of a vacuum truck along Donnelly Avenue, Little Best, Edmondson, Erin, Macleay and Railway Street.

What can I expect?

  • Survey and testing equipment will be operating on-site during the hours noted
  • Temporary reinstatement of the affected road surfaces with cold mix asphalt
  • Temporary parking disruptions along Donnelly Avenue, Little Best, Erin, Railway and Macleay Streets, while we carry out these works
  • Traffic management will be in place to facilitate vehicle and pedestrian movement. To ensure the safety of drivers and workers, please observe all traffic controller instructions and signage
  • Reduced speed limits of 40km/h near works
  • Nearby residents may hear some noise during this time and can expect some additional construction workers and vehicles in the area.

Temporary traffic changes near you

During the works, vehicle movements will be limited to moving equipment on and off the sites.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, obey signs and traffic control and allow extra travel time during this work.

Machinery used

Equipment used for work includes but is not limited to hand-held tools, traffic management signage, saw cutter, vacuum truck, survey equipment, plate compacter, heavy and light vehicles.

How we're managing impacts

  • Access to private properties will be maintained
  • Works programmed to best minimise disruptions to local road network
  • Use of non-tonal reversing alarms on all equipment and turning off equipment when not in use
  • Instructing workers to keep noise to a minimum and being respectful of our neighbours
  • Works will be monitored to ensure compliance with Project Approval Conditions.

Cancellation of works

Works can sometimes be cancelled at short notice depending on weather and other factors. Should this occur, works will be rescheduled.
