NSW/Qld Border to Gowrie Erosion Threshold Velocity testing, February 2025
Inland Rail will be conducting Erosion Threshold Velocity (ETV) testing in February 2025 between Millmerran and Toowoomba in Queensland.
Work being done
The onsite activity will include the collection of soil samples with an excavator and specialised equipment.
What can I expect?
- Mobile machinery and equipment operating onsite.

- Water tank
- Sampling equipment
- Excavator
How we're managing impacts
- Regular contact with impacted landowners to discuss site activity and any land access requirements.
- Vehicles entering private property to be clean and inspected.
Cancellation of works
Work can sometimes be cancelled or postponed at short notice due to weather or other factors.
We will let impacted residents know in advance if work is rescheduled.
