Inland Rail Albury to Illabo Preferred Infrastructure Report to go on public exhibition
Community members have an opportunity to gain further insight into the Albury to Illabo section of Inland Rail with important information on the project to be available for public review and submission from the 15 November – 6 December 2023.
November 3, 2023
Following the public exhibition of the Albury to Illabo Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in August 2022, the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) requested that Inland Rail prepare two additional documents:
- Response to Submissions Report – an overview of all the submissions received as part of the EIS public exhibition process and written responses from Inland Rail.
- Preferred Infrastructure Report – further detail on the air quality, noise, and traffic impact assessments for the Albury to Illabo project.
The two documents will be published by the NSW DPE and the Preferred Infrastructure Report will be on public exhibition for 21 days. These documents will be available for the community to view on the NSW DPE Major Projects website from November 15 2023.
The PIR public exhibition period will allow members of the public to read about Inland Rail’s current plans and make any additional comments to the Department of Planning and Environment on project matters of interest.
The Inland Rail team will be available at the following community information sessions, where attendees can access a Summary of Findings and receive further clarification about the Preferred Infrastructure Report.
