Edmondson Street bridge to close at night for minor works

Edmondson Street bridge in Wagga Wagga will undergo a series of night closures in July to allow Inland Rail to undertake works in a safe operating environment.

Work starts on Thursday 3 July, when the bridge will remain open but there will be traffic controls in place to allow contractor Martinus to receive a delivery of power poles in safety.

Should this task require more time, a contingency date of Friday 4 July will be used.

From Monday 7 July at 8pm, a series of nine-hour closures will enable contractor Martinus Rail to carry out works to install an electricity pole base and undertake ground testing.

This will take place on Monday 7 July, Tuesday 8 July, Thursday 10 July, Friday 11 July, Monday 14 July and Tuesday 15 July.

Traffic controls will be set up at 6pm with bridge closure to start at 8pm and end at 5am the following morning. Traffic controls will be in place until 7am.

A contingency date to enable additional work will be Thursday 17 July, and Inland Rail will notify the public in advance should this date be required for works to be carried out.

The table below illustrates the work dates.
