Bellata Village water outage
Residents of Bellata on town water supply will experience a planned water outage on Thursday 25 August 2022 from 8:30am to 3pm.
The purpose of this outage is to conduct water main adjustment works in conjunction with Inland Rail. These works will involve the cutting over (joining) commissioning and testing of a new section of water main under the rail line. It is essential these works occur at this stage of Inland Rail construction.
How should I prepare for a water outage?
- Fill your kettle or jug prior to the outage at 8:30am.
- Place a full bucket of water near your toilet to assist with flushing throughout the outage.
- Fill your pet bowls with water prior to the outage.
- Do not use appliances that require water to operate during the outage as it may damage them. These appliances include air conditioners, dishwashers and washing machines.
Once supply is returned
- Run an external tap until water runs clear
- Run taps slowly to avoid causing damage with air bubbles in pipes
- Advise Inland Rail by contacting 1800 732 761 if your supply has not returned by the designated time.
