Bobbiwaa Creek temporary storage area construction

Between November and December 2021, Trans4m Rail will construct a temporary construction materials storage area and crane pad near Bobbiwaa Creek, south of Edgeroi, NSW. Works will be south of Bobbiwaa Creek, and west of the Newell Highway. The storage area will house precast sections of the new bridge in preparation for bridge demolition and new bridge construction in 2022.

The area will be used for:

  • site office and amenities
  • construction materials, including precast drainage and bridge components
  • storage of plant and equipment
  • light vehicle parking
  • stockpile of ballast materials.

What to expect

  • Trucks and other vehicles will enter and exit the construction site via the Newell Highway
  • Construction machinery and equipment will be operating on site
  • Materials and equipment will be delivered
  • Motorists should follow traffic controls and drive with caution
  • Some of these works will be noisy and mitigation measures will be in place to reduce impacts

How we’re managing impacts

  • traffic control will be in place, where required
  • water carts will be on site to wet down areas to assist in managing dust.
