Daroobalgie rail and sleeper deliveries
Between 3 April to 20 May 2023, transport operators working on behalf of ARTC Inland Rail will deliver concrete sleepers and rail to Daroobalgie, north of Forbes in preparation for the construction of a 2.2km crossing loop.
What can I expect?
- Construction machinery and equipment operating on site
- Temporary lane closures to enable truck access
- Delivery of materials and equipment to site
- Increased truck traffic on surrounding roads
- Some potential noise, vibration and dust impacts.
Works will occur mostly within the existing rail corridor and road reserves. Site access will be via local roads and existing access tracks wherever possible.

- Small and large trucks,
- front end loader,
- sleeper cradles,
- water cart,
- hand tools,
- excavators,
- light vehicles.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic controls will be in place to manage traffic
- Property access will be maintained for all impacted residents
- Mitigation measures will be in place for works generating noise or dust.
