Glenrowan site compound preparation works
In November and December 2022, our contractor McConnell Dowell will undertake site compound preparation works and utilities relocations in Glenrowan.
Work being done
Works will involve delivery of materials and equipment, approved vegetation removal and connections to water, power and sewer services.
McConnell Dowell understand that this area is an integral part of the Glenrowan township and that there are significant heritage aspects of the site.
Strict heritage and environmental controls will be in place for the worksite, and archaeologists will be present during certain aspects of the works.
Vegetation removal, where required, will also be completed under strict environmental controls.
To facilitate these works, traffic management crews will be in and around the area ensuring safe access is maintained for all road users.

- Site compound preparation

- Traffic management in and around the Beaconsfield Parade bridge
- Trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the work site
- Construction machinery and equipment operating onsite
- Delivery of materials and equipment
- Nearby residents can expect some noise during daylight hours.
Machinery used
- Support vehicles and
- some heavy vehicles will be used within the works area.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe access for all road users
- Water carts will be onsite to wet down areas to assist in managing dust
- Reducing number of vehicles required onsite
- Rail will be used to bring equipment and machinery to the site where possible, reducing road disruptions.
