The Emergency Services Work Expo was held on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd March at the QEII Square in Albury, New South Wales, and showcased exciting future career opportunities to over 1,000 students from local high schools in the Albury-Wodonga region and surrounds.
Around 30 exhibitors including representatives of the ARTC Inland Rail Skills Academy, emergency services, councils, and universities were available to interact with attendees and provide information regarding a range of potential career and study possibilities.
Stephen Jones, Inland Rail Director of Health, Safety and Environment, said:
‘We are proud to team up with the Emergency Services Work Expo this year, and what better place to host than the recently crowned 2023 Aussie town of the year – Albury.
‘The expo was a fantastic venue for locals to learn about all the amazing opportunities available in the rail sector, specifically for those aged 15 to 25 who are seeking more information about career possibilities.
‘These event stands are a chance for community members to meet our Inland Rail Skills Academy team and talk about the project and upcoming opportunities to gain valuable skills and work with Inland Rail’.
