Location: Regional VIC (Euroa)This role will suit someone living in the Euroa area or Melbourne based and available to work on site a minimum of 3 days a week.

Work Type: Fix term contract till Dec 2026

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Review scope, program, cost and safety inputs for contractor work packages and validate implementation.
  • Contribute to project safety initiatives and ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Assist in resolving construction and engineering issues, including identifying scope deviations and assessing variation impacts.
  • Review and monitor contractor safety and works planning documentation
  • Prepare quantitative and qualitative reporting including technical evaluations, performance reports, and daily site diaries.
  • Support monitoring of project KPIs and assist with contract administration including claims and variations.
  • Conduct site inspections and engage with councils and external authorities as required.
  • Perform inspections and close-out of contractor works including quality documentation.
  • Ensure timely review of contractor delivery plans, methodologies and programs.
  • Uphold safety, environmental, and workplace conduct requirements.
  •  Promote a respectful, inclusive, and discrimination-free working environment.

About you

To be successful, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
  • Experience in engineering construction, or project management (track, civil, structures, signalling, or similar).
  • Understanding or awareness of WHS principles and rail safety legislation.
  • Experience delivering major infrastructure projects, including site-based work.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organisational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Class C driver’s licence.
  •  Willingness to travel and spend multiple days per week at the Euroa worksite.
