Residents and businesses will be able to find out all they need to know about Inland Rail by catching up with the Inland Rail team at the Junee Show on Saturday.

Stakeholder Engagement Lead Jessica Jackson will be at the Junee Show to help answer community questions about Inland Rail.

Inland Rail is proudly sponsoring the event, a leading showcase of the best of what regional NSW has to offer which has been running since 1888.

The Stakeholder Engagement team from Inland Rail will be on hand to chat about the Albury to Illabo section of the project, enabling show visitors to learn what the project will look like and when construction is likely to begin.

The Inland Rail team will be joined by stakeholder team members from construction partner Martinus, which is also sponsoring the event.

The Albury to Illabo section of the project has recently been given NSW Government planning approval to move into construction following a rigorous assessment by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, with construction expected to start in March next year.

James Kennedy, Delivery Director, Albury to Parkes, Inland Rail, said:

“The Junee Show has long been an important community fixture and we are delighted to be able to support the event.

“Shows are a unique opportunity for us to speak with the communities in which we work and we are looking forward to meeting visitors to the Junee Showgrounds.

“I encourage community members who have questions about Inland Rail to visit our stand and speak with our Stakeholder Engagement team, all of whom live in towns along the alignment.

“This is an exciting time for Inland Rail and we are looking forward to meeting visitors to share our vision of how we will accommodate faster, more reliable freight and enable safer, less congested roads.”
