Work being done
Inland Rail is a nation building project that will transform how goods are moved around Australia. In Victoria works will be undertaken at 12 sites to enable sufficient clearance for double-stacked freight trains.
In Seymour, the Seymour-Avenel Road bridge will be replaced with a higher bridge at the same location.
Works will involve delivery of materials and equipment and approved vegetation removal.

- construction noise during daylight hours with mitigation measures in place
- speed restrictions will be in place along Seymour-Avenel Road and Granville Drive until bridge construction commences
- trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the construction site, may cause minor traffic delays
- approved vegetation removal in the project area

- woodchippers,
- loaders and
- light vehicles
will be used within the works area.
How we’re managing impacts
