Track formation trials in Milguy
Trans4m Rail will conduct track formation trials in Milguy between March and April 2021. This 1km trial will provide essential data to progress the detailed design of the track formation. Works will involve removing the current track foundation and replacing it with lime stabilised fill.
What to expect
- trucks and other vehicles will enter and exit the construction site via Alma Lane
- construction machinery and equipment operating on site
- delivery of materials and equipment
- motorists should follow traffic controls and drive with caution
- there may be some noise associated with these works
Machinery used
Hi-rail vehicles, trucks, graders, scrapers, excavators, loaders, stabilisers, rollers and water/vacuum excavation trucks will be used within the construction impact zone.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic control will be in place, where required.
- Water carts will be on site wetting down areas to manage dust.
