Businesses benefit from Inland Rail supporting local communities

Broadford’s Country Soul Café is one of many local businesses in Victoria who are benefitting from Inland Rail.

Providing a “hub” for the community to drop in weekly and talk about Inland Rail for the past couple of years, has been a win-win according to café owner Raj Dahiya.

Raj says he is looking forward to the business benefits continuing and supporting our construction partner John Holland in 2025.

“Like many local businesses, we’re looking forward to supporting the John Holland team by providing access to café seating, refrigeration options and catering via Ferguson Street during overnight works,” he said.

“I’m happy to help anyway I can. I’m looking forward to showing [John Holland] Broadford’s friendly community.”

John Holland Project Director Dean Valentic said: “We know there will be significant works taking place in Broadford, so we want to give back to the community in a positive way.

“Supporting local businesses, like Raj’s café, is one simple step we can take to do this.”
