Glenrowan early works utility relocation works
In January and February 2023, our contractor McConnell Dowell will continue early works in the new year in Kate Street, Siege Street West, Kelly Street and Church Street, required to provide power and water services in preparation for Beaconsfield Parade bridge construction. Archaeological investigations and monitoring in these areas will also occur.
Work being done
During this period Beaconsfield Parade, Siege Street West, Church Street and Kelly Street will see temporarily reduced lane widths. Gladstone Street will be temporarily reduced to one lane around the corner of Woolshed Road, while culvert work is completed. Driveway access may be interrupted for short periods, however directly impacted property owners will be notified in advance.
To prepare the structural foundations for the new bridge, piling (drilling) works will commence in February. As part of these works, the eastern end of Woolshed Road will be closed until the new bridge opens for public use. Bus parking in Kate Street will remain unaffected.
McConnell Dowell are working with subcontractors to complete the works, including AusNet Services who will issue their own works notifications.
