Temporary closure Beaconsfield Parade bridge
Beaconsfield Parade bridge will be closed from 7pm Wednesday 8 March to 6am Thursday 9 March to install concrete barriers in preparation for ongoing traffic changes in Glenrowan.
Work being done
McConnell Dowell are undertaking these works to ensure the safety of motorists during construction of the new bridge.
These works will be undertaken at night to reduce the impact on community.
Once installed, Beaconsfield Parade bridge access will be reduced to one lane with traffic lights to manage shuttle flow until construction is completed in 2024. For full details visit inlandrail.info/traffic
During the full closure period, motorists can cross the rail track via Taminick Gap Road or the Old Hume Highway.
What can I expect
Beaconsfield Parade bridge closure (between Gladstone and Siege streets) 7pm – 6am
- No access across Beaconsfield Parade bridge during these hours
- Safety exclusion zones will be set up with traffic management in place
- General works noise can be expected
- Light towers will be in operation
- Safe access for emergency vehicles will be managed
during this time.

Light towers will be installed in the work area.
