Wangaratta electrical inspections and works
McConnell Dowell will continue construction works in and around the Wangaratta Station Precinct on 18 and 27 August.
Work being done
McConnell Dowell will conduct electrical inspections on 18 August and electrical works on Sunday 27 August, along a section of Cusack, Spearing and Norton streets, Wangaratta.
An elevated work platform will be used to undertake the inspections and works.
Work on Sunday 27 August will involve the installation of transformers and powerline equipment and require a small section of Norton Street, between Cusack Street and Roy Street East, to be closed. Access to all properties will be maintained during works.
McConnell Dowell will work with AusNet in relation to a power outage on Sunday 27 August required to complete the main works. Those impacted will be notified by AusNet.
What can I expect?
- Closure of a section of Norton Street on Sunday 27 August
- Traffic management in and around Cusack Street, Spearing Street and Norton Street, when required
- Trucks, cranes and other vehicles entering and exiting the works areas
- Approved trimming of vegetation
- Noise from machinery and equipment operating onsite
- Delivery of materials and equipment.
Machinery used
Heavy and light vehicles including trucks, elevated work platforms, large cranes and non-destructive digging trucks will be used within the work areas.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe access for all road users and pedestrians, where required
- Reducing vehicles required onsite.
