McConnell Dowell will continue construction works in and around the Wangaratta Station Precinct in August.
Work being done
McConnell Dowell will continue construction works in and around the Wangaratta Station Precinct.
This includes drainage, electrical investigations and powerline works including light pole removals. Construction of a crane pad will also be undertaken.
Most of the works will occur within or near the station precinct, with minimal impact to road users in the area other than the increase of machinery, equipment and vehicle activity
What can I expect?
- Electrical powerline works around Norton and Cusack Streets planned for Sunday 27 August with traffic management in place. Directly affected residents will be contacted before works start
- approved vegetation removal within the project area
- traffic management in and around Green Street, Cusack Street, Spearing Street and Norton Street, when required
- ground excavations in various locations
- trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the work site
- noise from construction machinery and equipment operating onsite
- delivery of materials and equipment
- changes to pedestrian access via the Docker Street footbridge are in place.
Machinery used
Heavy and light vehicles including trucks, cranes loaders, excavators and rollers will be used within the work areas.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe access for all road users and pedestrians, where required
- reducing vehicles required onsite.
