Crooble Road roadworks and detour
Trans4m Rail will complete the remainder of roadworks on Crooble Road (between Gil Gil Creek Road and level crossing 915 north of the Crooble silos) on Wednesday, 15 December 2021.
Traffic Detour
A temporary road closure will be in place while works are underway. Motorists will need to travel via Gil Gil Creek Road onto County Boundary Road and the Croppa Moree Road when driving north.
Motorists are urged to follow all speed zone reductions and directional traffic signage.
Work being done
- Trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the construction site.
- Construction machinery and equipment operating on site.
- Delivery of materials on Crooble Road.

- water trucks.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic controls will be in place, including Variable Message Signage (VMS) directing traffic to the road detour
- Some of these works will be noisy and mitigation measures will be in place ‘
- Water carts will be on site to wet down areas to assist in managing dust.
