Wyndham Avenue gas service relocation (rescheduled works)
In June 2023, works to relocate gas services will be taking place in the vicinity of Wyndham Avenue, Forbes for the Stockinbingal to Parkes project of Inland Rail.
Work being done
Due to unforeseen circumstances the relocation of gas services in the vicinity of Wyndham Avenue, Forbes were required to be rescheduled. These works will now take place in June 2023.
These works are expected to commence on Monday 12 June and be completed by Friday 30 June 2023.

Sites access roads used
Works will occur mostly within the existing rail corridor and road reserves. Site access will be via local roads and existing access tracks wherever possible.
Cancellation of works
Works can sometimes be cancelled at short notice depending on weather and other factors. Should this occur, works will be rescheduled.
What can I expect?
- Temporary gas service interruptions may be required. Impacted residents will be notified in advance
- construction machinery and equipment operating on site
- delivery of materials and equipment to site
- mitigation measures will be in place for works generating noise or dust.

- hand tools
- excavators
- directional drilling/boring machine
- light vehicles.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic controls will be in place at each street and property access will be maintained for all impacted residents
- Some of these works may be noisy. If deemed necessary, mitigation measures will be in place during the works.
- There may be a requirement for night works at some locations to minimise disruption to gas services. We will notify impacted residents in advance if any nightworks are required.
