The preferred contractor for the first tranche of Inland Rail works in Victoria McConnell Dowell attended the event hosted by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC).

Almost 100 people attended the event, which received positive feedback from local businesses in attendance.

The event proved to be a great opportunity for local businesses to understand how to be a part of the Inland Rail project in Victoria, and how the jobs and economic benefits of Inland Rail will help boost the region.

Meet the Preferred Contractor events are intended to ensure local and Indigenous business understand about the opportunities available with the project.

“ARTC Inland Rail and our preferred contractor McConnell Dowell for the first works on Inland Rail in Victoria held a very successful networking event at The Seymour Club on Thursday.

“95 attendees from a range of local and Indigenous businesses and companies attended the event, giving them the chance to meet representatives from the preferred contractor and engage with the Inland Rail program.

“Businesses in the region were excited by the opportunities Inland Rail offered, and the sentiment at the event was they understand the benefits Inland Rail will bring to regional Victoria through jobs and economic growth.
