The ARTC team will be on hand to talk through the confirmed bridge replacements for the Short Street, Hamilton Street and Marchbanks Road sites.

Connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, Inland Rail is Australia’s largest freight rail infrastructure project and will better connect businesses, manufacturers and producers to national and global markets and create new opportunities for Australian industries and regional communities.

Ed Walker, ARTC Victoria and South Australia Projects General Manager said:

“ARTC shared information about Inland Rail at drop-in sessions in Broadford in November and December, and understands the community is keen to hear more about project.

“If you missed our community drop-in sessions or just want to catch up, we invite you to visit us at the Festival.

“We have moved into the reference design phase of the Broadford projects, which is an opportunity for community input to refine the look and feel of the design and explore interface options with the surrounding area such as pedestrian access.

“The Broadford community has already told us that safety, connectivity and amenity are important, and this will be reflected in the designs.

“We anticipate the reference design will be available to share with community members in the first half of 2023 and are looking forward to hearing feedback before finalising designs and beginning construction in 2024.

“We encourage you to come by and ask us any questions or share your thoughts with us. Alternatively, you can call us on 1800 732 761 or email victoriaprojects@artc.com.au”.
