Northern NSW community groups benefit from Inland Rail support
Local community groups in Moree, Dubbo and Coonamble have received support for initiatives as part of Round 14 of the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) Inland Rail Community Sponsorships and Donations program.

In Moree, Gwydir Industries Inc., Young Aggies Moree Inc. and Moree Cultural Art Foundation Ltd were amongst the recipients, with each organisation receiving up to $4,000 as contributions towards community initiatives.
In Dubbo, the Rotary Club of Dubbo received funding to build a to scale replica of the Parkes to Narromine rail line, and in Coonamble, the donation was used to fund Two Eight Two Eight to host a ‘Dinner Under the Stars’ tourism project earlier this year.

- Two Eight Two Eight for the 20 years on – Dinner Under the Stars
- The Moree Cultural Art Foundation Ltd for a Meei Street Art Project
- The Rotary Club of Dubbo to build a to scale replica of the Parkes to Narromine rail line
Stephen Jones, Inland Rail Director of Health, Safety and Environment said:
“We are proud to give back to the communities that are home to Inland Rail. The work these organisations do is instrumental to the wellbeing of regional communities.
“I encourage other non-profit groups to lodge their applications for the next round of funding.
“ARTC’s Inland Rail Community Sponsorships and Donations program offers funding between $1000–$4000 for organisations in eligible regional areas along the Inland Rail.
“The funding supports organisations that contribute to local and regional prosperity, wellbeing, and sustainability.”
Applications for the current round of funding close on 31 January 2023.
