Council endorses Inland Rail public art concept designs in Wangaratta
The Rural City Council of Wangaratta have endorsed the concept designs of three pieces of public art that will be included within the Wangaratta Station Precinct as part of Inland Rail works.

Earlier this year Inland Rail called for expressions of interest from artists for public art opportunities at the station entrance, the new underpass wall and in the rail yard garden.
The art is being commissioned as part of the heritage interpretation plan required for the station and local, emerging or mid-career artists were encouraged to apply.
Artistic pieces will reflect Wangaratta’s cultural and heritage values of the local area within the transformed station site.
