Watch now: Short Street track lowering works in Broadford

During May when trains weren’t running, our construction partner John Holland removed and lowered 815 metres of rail track.

Eighty trucks worked around the clock, moving about 100,000 tonnes of material and ballast.

These works along with the new higher bridge at Short Street, provide sufficient clearance for double-stacked freight trains as part of Inland Rail’s Beveridge to Albury section.
