Ground investigations, surveys, Broadford, 9 December 2024 to 31 January 2025

Work being done

Activities will include:

Investigation works

• Surveying the railway track, road and pavement levels at multiple locations
• Investigation and cleaning of sewer lines and pits at multiple pit locations, including cleaning pipes using non-destructive digging (NDD) trucks and inspection cameras
• Locating and mapping underground services using NDD.

Project worksite

• To facilitate these activities, the project will continue to use the previously established temporary site off High Street near Broadford Station.

What can I expect?

• Works 7am-6pm Monday to Friday and 7am-1pm Saturdays
• Out of hours sewer investigation works will take place across four nights between 7pm-6am, Monday 9 to Friday 20 December
• Impacted properties will be informed ahead of night sewer investigation works
• Traffic management will be required in some locations where works are occurring close to roads. Please observe all traffic management instructions and signage
• Reduced speed limits of 40km/h near works
• Workers using machinery, equipment, hand tools and service vehicles operating at each site
• Nearby residents may hear some noise during this time and can expect some additional construction workers and vehicles in the area.

Machinery used

NDD truck, support vehicles, workers using hand tools and survey equipment, traffic management equipment and signage.

How we're managing impacts

• Traffic management and reduced road speeds
• Access to private properties will be maintained.

Cancellation of works

Works can sometimes be cancelled at short notice depending on weather and other factors. Should this occur, works will be rescheduled.

Holiday Break

John Holland will take a break from works and investigations between Monday 23 December 2024 and Sunday 5 January 2025.

Members of the project will be on call during this time.
