Work being done

As previously notified, Inland Rail works are taking place in Euroa, including locating and mapping underground services using non-destructive digging (NDD).

In December, underground services on Brock Street will be identified using NDD and a temporary pipe will be installed in the ground to mark the position of these underground assets for future reference.

Activities will include:

  • Workers using a NDD truck and hand tools to locate underground services and utilities at various points along Brock Street
  • Services will be marked by installing a PVC pipe into the ground. The temporary marker will sit approximately 1m above the ground and will be wrapped in reflective tape to ensure visibility
  • The temporary markers will need to remain in position for several months as works take place to upgrade and improve the detour route along Birkett, Campbell and Brock streets.

What can I expect?

  • Works 7am-6pm Monday to Friday and 7am-1pm Saturdays
  • You will notice PVC pipes with reflective tape installed along the roadside in Brock Street, Campbell and Birkett streets
  • Traffic management will be required in some locations where works are occurring close to roads. Please observe all traffic management instructions and signage
  • Reduced speed limits of 40km/h near works
  • Nearby residents may hear some noise during this time and can expect some additional construction workers and vehicles in the area.

Please note: The position of the markers is determined by the location of the underground utilities. If you have concerns, please contact the team to discuss.

Machinery used

How we're managing impacts

  • Traffic management and reduced road speeds
  • Access to private properties will be maintained
  • Markers will be positioned away from residential driveways and wrapped in reflective tape.
