Seymour-Avenel Road bridge works, Seymour, March 2025
Inland Rail will continue works around the Seymour-Avenel Road bridge site in Seymour during March 2025.
Work being done
Works will include:
- Seymour-Avenel Road construction including asphalting and line marking
- continuation of pavement works, drainage and road barrier installation
- landscaping.
What can I expect?
- Construction work 7am-6pm Monday to Friday and 7am-5pm weekends
- Construction noise during daylight hours, with mitigation measures in place
- Business and local traffic access to Granville Drive will be maintained
- Trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the construction site, may cause minor traffic delays
- Heavy machinery and equipment operating onsite
- Delivery of materials and equipment
- Seymour-Avenel Road bridge closed, with detour in place via Avenel Road.
Machinery used
Heavy and light vehicles including trucks, concrete trucks and pumps, cranes, loaders, excavators and rollers will be used within the works area.
How we're managing impacts
- Water carts will be onsite to wet down areas to assist in managing dust
- Traffic management in place to ensure safe access for all road users and pedestrians,
where required - Environmental controls in place.
