Seymour-Avenel Road bridge, Seymour, Night Works, 20-24 October 2024
Inland Rail will continue construction works in and around the Seymour-Avenel Road bridge site in Seymour including night works between 20-24 October.
Work being done
Works will include:
- Delivery of bridge deck beams
- Lifting bridge beams into place
What can I expect?
- Night works 8pm–8am, Sunday 20 October to Thursday 24 October, to install bridge beams
- Minor traffic delays during the delivery of the bridge beams
- Business and local traffic access to Granville Drive will be maintained
- Trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the construction site, may cause minor traffic delays
- Noise from construction machinery and equipment operating onsite
- Seymour-Avenel Road bridge closed, with detour in place via Avenel Road.

Machinery used
- Heavy and light vehicles including trucks, cranes and work vehicles will be used within the work areas
- Light towers and generators will be used within the work areas.
How we're managing impacts
- Water carts will be onsite to wet down areas to assist in managing dust
- Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe access for all road users where required
- Environmental controls in place.
