Changes ahead for Euroa Station as precinct upgrade ramps up
Inland Rail will shortly commence works at the Euroa railway precinct that will prevent trains from stopping at the station and coach services will be put in place for passengers.
March 26, 2026
Inland Rail construction partner John Holland will remove the existing railway line and platform currently used by passengers, to begin work to open the station to the township.
With the new station platforms to be constructed trains services will use new commissioned railway lines but not stop at Euroa station.
Coaches will replace trains from Monday 13 April 2026 until the new carpark and platform open on the Elliot Street side of the station later this year.
Southbound passengers will take coaches to Seymour to board the train to Melbourne – dropping-off at Avenel if required. Coaches will service northbound passengers and drop-off where required.
The Railway Street bus stop will be relocated to McGuinness Street for both V/Line and Public Transport Victoria services.
The works will also impact the Railway Street carpark from Tuesday 24 March 2026, with staged changes to pedestrian access and parking introduced as construction progresses.
Temporary public parking will be available at the Euroa Hotel carpark, off McGuinness Street.
Inland Rail will continue to keep the community updated as works evolve. Passengers are advised to follow all on-site signage and allow extra travel time.
Russell Hamilton, Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Project Director said:
To open the station to the town and build the new station forecourt, we need to remove the existing railway line and platform.
“Trains will be moved on to the new east and west tracks, but they will not be able to stop at Euroa.
“We understand this may cause some inconvenience. We are working closely with V/Line and our construction partner John Holland to support travellers the best we can.
“We thank the people of Euroa and for their patience and cooperation as we transform the station precinct.”
