Glenrowan utility relocation works
Throughout March 2023, our contractor McConnell Dowell will continue undertaking utility relocation works in Glenrowan.
Work being done
Machinery will be operating in and around work areas, with minor traffic delays caused by vehicles entering and exiting work sites.
Driveway access may be interrupted for short periods, however directly impacted property owners and residents will be notified in advance.
McConnell Dowell are working with subcontractors to complete the works, including AusNet Services who will issue their own works notifications.
What can I expect
- Temporary access requirements to driveways to assist utility works. Affected property owners and tenants will be contacted before works start
- Safety exclusion zones will be set up around each area with traffic management in place to ensure safe access
- Ground excavation of identified areas
- Works will occur between 7am and 6pm weekdays
- Nearby residents can expect some noise during daylight hours.
Machinery used
- Heavy machinery,
- large delivery trucks and
- support vehicles
will be used within the works area.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe access for all road users where required
- Reducing vehicles required onsite
- Ensuring driveway access is maintained for local residents and businesses (and communicating access changes where they arise)
- Water carts will be onsite to wet downs areas and assist in managing dust.
