Project Manager Integration

About the opportunity

Drive governance, readiness, and technical integration across one of Australia’s most significant infrastructure programs. You will play a critical role in ensuring that configuration changes and operational readiness processes are managed consistently, transparently and in alignment with Inland Rail’s governance frameworks.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 Configuration Change Management

You’ll implement and administer the Inland Rail Configuration Change Procedure, managing the full lifecycle of configuration change, including:

  • Overseeing CCR registration, quality checks and workflow initiation
  • Administering the SharePoint Configuration Change Portal and controlled registers
  • Coordinating SME reviews, comment registers and Board documentation
  • Facilitating and chairing Configuration Change Boards (CCBs)
  • Ensuring accurate decision capture, condition tracking and timely distribution of minutes
  • Maintaining master registers with strong data integrity and version control
  • Monitoring closure of conditions, reporting risks and escalating issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement of tools, templates and dashboards
  • Ensuring compliance with governance, baseline management and record control

Operational Readiness Coordination

You’ll support the program’s transition toward operational readiness by coordinating governance activities and maintaining readiness artefacts:

  • Coordinating readiness forums, agendas, packs, dashboards and minutes
  • Maintaining the Program Operational Readiness Tracker
  • Supporting workstreams to collect, validate and upload readiness evidence
  • Managing readiness documentation, templates and controlled files
  • Producing dashboards and milestone reporting aligned to T‑minus expectations
  • Tracking readiness actions, dependencies, risks and constraints
  • Assisting with readiness assessments and governance reviews
  • Ensuring traceability, version control and consistency across all readiness documentation
  • Coordinating readiness interfaces across projects, external stakeholders and technical teams.

Program Integration Support

You’ll help connect the dots across the wider Inland Rail program:

  • Supporting integration reporting across configuration and readiness
  • Identifying cross‑project risks, dependencies and integration issues
  • Coordinating engagement across engineering, safety, operations, assurance and delivery teams

 This role is perfect for someone who thrives in structured environments, enjoys coordinating complex workflows, and is confident engaging with technical, operational and project delivery teams.

About you

  • Experience in project management within complex engineering or infrastructure environments
  • Strong understanding of configuration management or structured change control processes
  • Experience working with SharePoint, controlled registers or workflow systems
  • High capability in managing structured Excel registers (formulas, traceability, version control)
  • Strong meeting coordination skills, including structured agendas and accurate minute‑taking
  • Ability to manage multiple streams of documentation with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and operational groups
  • Experience in operational readiness, assurance coordination or governance support
  • Experience in rail infrastructure or network operations (highly regarded)
  • Familiarity with readiness frameworks and evidence‑based reporting
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, including public sector, private sector and community organisations
